Since Chesnut began aggressively seeking grants for Chesnut in 2010, we have brought in thousands of dollars for our school and our students!
A grant is a free gift of money, goods, or services. In most cases, grants are tax-free, and they never have to be paid back. There are three basic types of grants: foundation, corporate, and government grants. Grants can range in amount from a few hundred dollars up to hundreds of thousands, or more, depending upon the project and the funder.
Chesnut can benefit from thousands of dollars every year in grants — but we need alert parents and teachers to look for grant opportunities that fit the school. Parents may become aware of available grants through their employers, teachers through professional associations, and the whole school community can watch for grant opportunities that are frequently advertised on behalf of big-name retailers.
If you want to find out more about how you can help Chesnut to capture grant money… if you know of a grant that the school is eligible for… if you need to know how to follow up on a grant with your employer… send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you work for a company hat has a matching gift program? A “matching gift” is a donation made by a corporation or foundation on behalf of an employee, which matches that employee’s contribution to a nonprofit organization like Friends of Chesnut. This can double, triple, or even quadruple your contribution
Don’t leave free money on the table!
To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, contact your HR department within your organization and ask about out the guidelines for obtaining matching funds. If you need anything from us, please contact email@example.com!
This is a wonderful way to support our students at Chesnut!
Friends of Chesnut is always looking for businesses, institutions and universities to partner with our school! Whether capital resources for educational (including STEM), facility, garden, outdoor classrooms or playground enhancements, or human resources to provide our children with real-world examples of STEM in action, we want to talk! We are happy to promote the sponsorship to our community through marketing and public relations! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
